They're rating three vehicles that are basically 100% new, no huge surprise that the ratings would be down a bit.

First year production always has issues, it's not like that's a myth, it's a fact.

Manufacturers can test cars for hundreds of thousands of miles and you'll still end up missing things that don't get noticed until the cars are in general use.

Unless I'm mistaken Ford has more new products on the market than anyone right now, that's a huge undertaking.

Wasn't it Consumer reports that gave the Mustang low ratings for rear seat leg room?

Oh, and in which way did either the transmission or My Ford Touch effect reliability....right...IT DIDNT!

Exclamation Jumping the gun.

Ask me how reliable my Fiesta is in 2017. Until then, we'll just have to wait and see.

I was giving them a slight benefit of the doubt, there have been more little glitches than the trans like the grounding issue and other little things.

I don't know how they figure out their rankings and honestly don't care, I haven't even so much as glanced at that magazine in longer than I can remember.

I am curious how many of these reported problems are related to
dual clutch transmission noises and whether or not it is the user
that is just not used to the noises, but reporting the noise as
a issue.

Because there is a thread on the Hyundai Veloster forum that
also describes grinding noises from the transmission. However
I think the Veloster uses a transmission from a different supplier
although it is also dry clutch transmission

How can a new car be tested for reliability any way? I find it odd..

yup - screwed up so badly I ordered a 2012 model to complement the 2011 model I already have! All persons knowledgeable on vehicles KNOWS there will be problems with first model year. Hell, I expected more issues than I had (weatherstripping)!
