Get Your Car's Build Info at Ford Etis

Stumbled upon this today. Ford has an online system called Etis which will give you you the build date and other information about any Ford vehicle for which you have the VIN number.

Just go to:
FordEtis home page

Click "Vehicle".

Type in your VIN.

Your car's build date will show up in a box on the right. Click the down arrow below that and you'll get a list of all the possible features that were available at the time of build and whether your car has them or not.

what is interesting is that mine is listed less Day Time Running Lights but is in fact equipped but were not enabled.

interesting. I had wondered the correct build date as I couldn't seem to locate a definitive date on the car's bodywork anywhere.

Just a note on ETIS: It's really meant for European customers. Some North American vehicle information may be (in)correct.

If the VIN number comes up then how would it be incorrect? What do you mean it's mainly for European customers? Why would it not be good for US?

A few 2012 Focus owners noted the difference in information, and other Ford employees who pointed it out on other forums. Access to the actual technical information are in Euros. The site also links to the FordEcat information catalog, which is the European parts catalog.

just pulled my car info...it calls the color green orchid, says i don't have DRL's, keyless entry or a spoiler, which i do have. so yea there's some issues lol
