Default km/h Speedos

A question to the Canucks (and South Americans). Does your speedometer display km/h in the primary (large white font) position and MPH in the secondary (small red font) position? Could you snap a photo and put it on here? Thanks.

(why? If I get a job in Europe next year and I import my car there, I'd want to swap out the speedo so I don't have to constantly try to read the small red font, and I know the Canadian speedometers will easily swap out better than the European ones, I'd presume)

Thanks. That's curious though about the fuel gauge; most Canadian clusters I've seen have the fuel gauge as either an empty or full circle icon, or the 1 / 0 numbers in most european cars (to accommodate those strange Québécois people). Interesting that they chose to iconize things like the emergency brake light, but not the fuel gauge.

I'm Canadian and I have no idea what your talking about. Is it implied that Canadians can't read therefore need icons?

It seems like all Volkswagens have those 1/2, 1/1, type ones.

From what I see on eBay, I guess only GM uses the icons in Canada. The europeans use fractions, The Japanese, Ford, and Chrysler use E/F. I suppose it makes sense I'd think that all use something other than E/F since my parents and I have owned almost exclusively GM cars.

I just noticed as well... the Canadian speedo goes higher than the US one... Ours tops at 130mph like the UK speedo (~210km/h). It's not even the same scale of increments though, the US one has 14 number marks and the Canadian one has 11 (same as the European). Just an oddity I noticed:

never said anything about a tach.

Edit: I see what you mean there... That's a hydrogen fuel cell Chevy Equinox.
