It is sometimes in the Winter, but compared to the rest of Canada we get off pretty easy in Winter. Aside from Vancouver we probably have the mildest Winter of any major city in Canada, especially in the 416 Area Code.

I should mention that I do not have a block heater in my car currently, I've had block heaters before and the difference is amazing.

It's amazing what these temps do to a car, the engine starts harder, the transmission doesn't want to shift, the shocks don't work properly.

Makes you wonder what keeps us living in areas that get this kind of weather
Synthetic Oil helps a lot in the cold too. I put it in my car once I hit around 1500 Km.

Well, BC and Ontario usually have the best summers, so a little extra cold is deserved. Down here in the Maritimes we're having our mildest winter ever (only 3 snow storms so far, including the one today, plus temps hovering around 0°C )........maybe there is something to this Global Warming and we're slowly becoming the new Florida

Ask those people in Europe or Asia wherever it was, about global warming.
Record low temperatures and snow.

Record high in upstate NY. 58*F in 1913.
