I beg to differ. My 100a no option fieata is actually still a very nice car.
To be honest. When crap starts falling apart on other model fiesta I will be likely going, man I'm glad mine doesn't have sync (radios popping randomly as some had happen), power windows eventually fail. Chrome chips or flakes. Bla bla bla. Oh and the dual clutch manual / auto. I'm willing to bet I get more miles before my transmission is in need or repair than a comparable auto shift does. Nothin wrong with a base model. They appeal to different folks. I for one can't understand why someone would pay $20k for a fieata. Me, I paid $12,500 for mine. Well worth the lower price to not have all the extras that are really worthless in the end, installed on it.

I purchased a 2010 Nissan cube. Paid $13900 for it. I drove it for a little over a year and decided to sell it. Drove to a major dealership and said I was interested in selling it outright. I sold it for $12500. It had almost 27000 miles on it. To drive 27000 for $1400 is pretty damn good. Funny thing the base model (one I had) was valued at exactly the same used price as the S model that originally cost like $3500 more. I made out pretty well on the base model

When they talk about this glut, I wonder if they are including Canada, since the car is identical in both Countries (except for the speedo)? While the Fiesta is certainly a big seller up here, there are cars on every lot that I know of. In fact, I picked up a 2011 SES leftover last week. For the folks in the U.S. that can't find the cars they want, it's too bad our money is almost at par. You are usually ahead about .20 cents on the dollar and that would have made it worthwhile to cross the border and buy one here. Right now it's the opposite, I know quite a few Canucks that have run down to Maine to buy their vehicles. In fact, I have a friend who bought 2 Nissan's and the dealer in Bangor, ME delivered them to the border and did all the paperwork for him.
