Sedan or Hatch... Both aren't all that great looking in their own ways.

I had my mom with me in the Fiesta today. We were at a light and a blue flame sedan drove by. I casually said "oh look another Fiesta". She responded "where?" When I pointed it out she said it looked nothing like mine. From the back the two look totally different.

As you would know, Europe has a lot of hatchback models. Well, in the country I live in (Netherlands), I would say about 99% of all small cars are hatchbacks. So I tend to think the Fiesta HB is the better looking car. Where some of you would say that the HB is a regular car with the rear chopped off (or 'forgotten' to add), I would say that any small sedan is a HB with a trunk bolted on: to me it feels unnatural.
Of course we do have sedans, but those are bigger cars: think Ford Mondeo (/Fusion), Audi A6, VW Passat, BMW 3-series. Even Focus sedan or Jetta is a rare sight here in the Netherlands. Then there are the stealth sedans and hatchbacks. The only quick way to tell if a Mondeo is the hatchback or sedan version is looking for the rear wiper! The two models look very much alike and looking at the new Fusion pictures, I think the new Mondeo will be no different. |
