Default No Subcompact for Chrysler/Dodge

Looks like Chrysler is taking a pass on the subcompact wars.

Quote:
That means the mainstream Chrysler and Dodge brands will have no vehicles to compete with the Chevrolet Sonic, Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris. Chrysler Group's Fiat brand does offer the Fiat 500, but it is sold in a limited network of U.S. dealerships, about 150 by year end.

Interesting.. I thought the Alfa guilletta was going to be the basis for the next 'caliber'. Maybe they'll just sell it as an alfa? And Canada and Mexico? Shades of the swift+!!!!

.... And that is why I'm now driving a Ford. I was a die hard Chrysler/Dodge owner. out of 10 cars I've owned so far, 6 were Chryslers. But when I decided to trade in my Dodge Magnum this May, all Chrysler had to offer was the awful Caliber which isn't an economy car by any means. That is, it doesn't get very good gas mileage. Chrysler hasn't had a small car with good fuel economy since they axed the Neon. And it's killed them. They put too much of thier resources into making Hemi powered cars and trucks/Jeeps. Seriously, how many freakin' different Jeep models do they need to have?
Corvair and f91 like this.

No, we still get the Giulietta-based car as a Dodge sedan. However, that's a compact car, one class up from the Fiesta. It will compete with Focus. Spy Photos: Dodge Hornet Sedan Prototype Nearly Undisguised

1. Wrangler.

And not that urbanized 4 door model either.

There are better offerings than the Wrangler within the Jeep family

Patriot as at the bottom by a large margin however.

Fiat really doesn't have the volume, presence or model variety to compete with the big dogs at the moment. I hear they will be adding a 5-door eventually. Whatever Fiat does though, the established Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealers won't have a B-segment player even though that segment is more important than ever.

Here's what the Chrysler subcompact might have looked like: Chrysler Ypsilon (2012) with pictures and wallpapers

Looks a bit PT cruiser... I'll keep an eye out and see if it shows up in Canada.

The Hornet Dodge should've built:
