Scion is funny. Every car company should do like them. Take a model car that's been out for years. Give it some "special" color, paint the wheels a different color, add a badge to the dash, and then call it a release version and only make x amount of them to make the buyers think they are getting something special, lol. Only 1500 created, only 800 created. Translation: Geez we might only get 1500 & 800 saps to buy one of these and pay extra cash.

Dodge should've done this with the Caliber. Haw.

We actually had a few release series come in and I must say some of these are really nice, personally I wouldn't get a scion but the leather seats are comfortable lol

I've only seen older people driving these "special edition" cars and no youngsters lol

I still think it should be a GT 86 "Hachi-Ruko" and not a FR-S "Front engine, Rear wheel drive - Sport" Toyota is really pooping in the bed with that one IMO. Subaru couldn't even get a good name for it... BRZ I forget what the BR stands for but the Z is for Zenith. Why they don't just call it a Zenith I don't know.

BRZ stands for "Boxer engine", "Rear-wheel drive", "Zenith."

Someone said this on another forum and it's stuck with me - that the BRZ is named after the sound made by the 10" exhausts ricers will inevitably put on the car.

a friend of mine has a xD RS, he's not an older guy lol

personally i think the RS editions are a waste of money, but whatever i didn't buy it. many car companies do things like this, it's not that uncommon. ford did the eddie bauer edition expeditions, jeep does the cod wranglers, dodge does the r/t and super bee editions, it's really not a new idea.

Yeah, it's not new concept, I agree. But the current Scion Xb and Xa are getting kind of old now that there is newer competition.

I dont know why they created those scion special edition! Every scion on the road , and they are sparse, are Xd or Tc driven by people in their sixties or more ! mainly in silver white or that awfull champagne Beige color !
