Today I rode in the backseat of a Nissan Versa (called the Tiida in Mexico) it was enormous! I had legroom to spare in the backseat and I'm 6'3. I can barely slide in to the backseat of my Fiesta. Nissan really targeted backseat comfort in this thig.

If I was going to regularly transport adults in the backseat I'd not have bought the Fiesta. It's no secret that the Fiesta is small.

I haven't tried the new Versa, but the old when left me wanting (for the Fiesta!). Aside from the truly, extraordinary ugliness of it (does it cost less to design, manufacture and market an ugly car?!), to the obvious omissions (like a luggage compartment cover..even the holes are there for it!), I've always found Nissans to be lacking in obvious details. I drove a Sentra a while back and loooved it...it had a smooth, creamy ride...but the dash and center console and stack were just sooooo ugly! I couldn't live with them, regardless of the lovely ride and comfy seats.
You don't buy a car based on one or two things, it;s the whole package, and Nissan always leaves out too much. So, even though the Versa might be the utility or space winner, the overall package is just too..lacking. I never once have looked back and regretted my Fiesta choice, it's just such an enduringly appealing package... |

Get friends who are smaller in stature!
![]() We needed a commuter - something decent for daily hauls as well as road runs when needed. It had to have a reasonable price point and decent standard amenities. Fiesta fit the bill the best. Damn things have spoiled me for anything else in the foreseeable future.

I was only impressed with the rear seat comfort of the Versa. I'll never have to sit in the back of my car, and the front is very, very comfortable
For me.

This is something I've been impressed with as well ever since my wife bought her '09 Versa hatch a couple years ago. The Cube, sharing the same platform, is the same way. Just enormous back there.

A fiend of mine took a long trip in the back of the Versa and says that although there is space, it's not comfortable space (issues with the shape and/or composition of the seat), and he was very glad to get out once the trip was over.
