Default Chevy Cruze

It edged out the Fiesta for the AJAC Canadian car of the year award.

I just drove one and I must say I am impressed. Flo may be jealous...

Exterior styling is rather conservative but the interior is pretty good. Centre dash screen reflects off of the top of the windscreen. Very high quality trim, fabric and soft touch all over the place. Great bolster on the seats. Very smooth transmission, but there's a bit of a low speed hesitation/mild shock that occasionally happens - it is actually very similar to the Fiesta's dual clutch. Nothing major. Good torque down at low RPMs.

I liked the one I sat in. I was impressed with the fit and finish, but I never test drove it. I just couldn't get over how much more it was going to cost me to get it equipped similarly.

Yeah my friend has a Cruze. I really don't like anything about it. It feels cheaper to me. And hers cost a LOT more and doesn't have nearly as much.

Before I got my fiesta I looked into one. It was nice, but to get it comparably equipped, it would've been like $6k more. Only difference was the cruze gets a real nav screen.

Lets not forget the Fiesta is a B segment car and the Cruze is a C segment car.

True...but a Nissan Sentra is in the same segment as the Cruze, and is much better equipped at similar price points. Although, I will say the Sentra was rather bland interior wise. It was clean and contemporary, but nothing to write home about.

The Sentra is in dire need of an update, which I believe it's getting next year. Even though bland to look at, I'd have fun with a Spec V.

Telero and I had a Sentra when we were in San Diego/Anaheim in November. It was bland, boring, less equipped than our Fiestas, and felt more "cheap". Not impressed.

One thing to consider if these things are important to you but...The Cruze, just like the 2012 Elantra and Accent come without a......Spare tire, jack, and lug wrench...But they do come with a can of fix of flat.
Dont trust me go look for yourself.
Sorry,but that's pretty lame.

The "eco" hyper milers dream car comes without a spare tire. It come with a compressor. Least in Canada. Base model still comes with a spare tire.

On the other hand my mother Mini didn't come with a spare tire. But it did comes with run flat Dunlops.

My gripe with the Cruze came with the complete lack of a manual transmission in the base model. The only one I would have been able to afford. So it was knocked off the list very quickly of cars I was intending to buy.
