Question What kind of ultragauge?

I've been reading about ultragauges on this forum for some time. Is there any particular one that works with or best on the Fiesta? Amazon has ScanGaugeE for $94.......it clears codes too........any difference? i'll be doing oil changes and maintenance and mods myself. So clearing a code is a plus. THANKS.

Ultra Gauge and Scangauge are two separate companies.

The Scangauge-e has a smaller display and shows fewer gauges at a time. It is somewhat customizable because you can set up some stuff and update its software. I think the mounting system is a piece of velcro. It has a CAT5 jack so that you can run more than one. It is also made in America.

The UltraGauge has a bigger display, is a little more user friendly and displays six different gauges at a time. It can display 18 gauges by auto scrolling through three pages of gauges. The mounting system is a window suction cup with a flexible stalk. It is made in China

Both devices can clear trouble codes.

Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention the ScanGaugeII. It is a little more expensive than the ScanGauge-e and offer more functionality.
You can read about the ScanGauges here: Products : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge

The cheapest way to purchase a ScanGauge is to join the CleanMPG Forums - Powered by vBulletin and they sell them at a discounted price. You cannot see the discount until you become a member. The site also has a ton of info on how to squeeze every last mile out of every gallon of gas. Fun reading, and you might learn a few things. CAUTION: Hypermiling can be addictive, procede with great care.

You can read about and purchase the UltraGauge here: UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool They are the only sellers of the product. Don't base the price on getting the rebate, most purchasers give up, because the rebate process is tedious to say the least.
