fan issue

Fan motor seems to have lost speeds 1 and 2 . only speed 3 and 4 are working . needs inspection So will have em look at it then . Hope not a rip the whole dash apart to fix.

Seems a little too soon for the fan speed resistor to go. Should be an easy fix under warranty.

That happened on my Focus twice and my Dad's F-150. I feel like its a Ford thing.

Odd, I've owned three Foci over the last eleven years and haven't had a fan resistor go out yet and I've been driving the same car since 2004.

I'm not saying they don't fail but your situation sounds unusual.

This happened to my 2011 Fiesta last June afte a week of heavy A/C usage in the muggy heat. Actually, it'll only go into top speed. If the car is idling for most than 5 minutes, or 1 minute after running for 30 or more minutes. If I turn the A/C or defrost on the fan kicks in 1:1 everytime, and it is loud. Dealer does not seem to think it is an issue.

Dealers are dumb these days. They seem to only want to run a business and not help out the customers all that much with the little things. It's the little things that make the difference. Idiots...

Some might be - unfortunately, not all dealerships are created equal. Others are top-notch. It's those little things that made me get my cars from my current dealer versus those who just low-ball on price.

For example, the tsb for the transmission in shift points from 3500-~2500. Dealer won't apply it because there is nothing wrong with the transmission. If there were nothing wrong, then there would not be a tsb for it. It seems as if though nothing will break or cause an accident they won't do anything about it. I've also asked for the rear wiped nozzle to be fixed...the ignored me.

Have you tried taking it to a different dealer? If you are having the rear wiper nozzle problem and the other dealer still won't fix it. I would contact Ford to escelate the issue.

Try another dealership, apparently the one you're going to now doesn't want to make any money.

Dealerships get paid to do warranty repairs, it's not like they do it for free.

Is your car giving the symptoms for the transmission TSB?

A TSB is not a recall, it's a "technical service bulletin" which is there to aid in diagnosis and repair of vehicles with known symptoms.

If your car isn't having the issue they won't apply the TSB.

If it IS showing the symptoms and they still won't perform the TSB then you can contact the Ford customer service center or just try another dealership.
