I'm at 33,900 miles and have had the oil & filter changed 4 times (# 5 will be at 37,000 miles). Nothing else has been done other than lookover at oil changes.
With the Warranty ending at 36,000...what do I need to have looked at, TSB'ed, etc.

Most TSB's will only be addressed if you're having specific issues related to each specific TSB.
There should be a supplementary booklet with your owner's manual outlining what sort of other maintenance is needed. If you haven't purchased a Ford Extended Service Plan (i.e. Ford's extended warranty), you have until 36,000 miles to get it.

One thing to check ... TCM/ECM updates. There may be an update to be applied. My TCM gets reflashed on Feb 3 because of this. Seeing you have build date of Aug 2010 I think you can get one ... Phantom was build July 2010.

There is more than one warranty .
The basic Bumper to Bumper. 3 yrs/36000 miles. Powertrain : 5 yrs/60000 miles. Safety restraint system: 5 yrs/60000 miles emmision warranties will vary somewhat up to 80k or more. In your owners manual folder there also is a booklet that explains the warranty. It even tells what is not covered. Danage from an eartquakes for instance. |

Have you checked out Owner.Ford.com maintenance schedule? By plugging in some quick and simple information, it will provide the recommended maintenance schedule and actions to be taken. Fiesta owners are allowed to purchase an ESP Plan as long as it's within the 3 year/36 mile bumper to bumper warranty and will be back dated to the B2B start date. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Quote:

Hi Noemi ... I do agree with GapBoy and the rest, and I have had no need for any Powershift TSB to be applied. What I simply did however, was ask if there were any firmware updates that I could get since my car was a July 2010 build.
A bit of online research by the mechanic and yes, there is an update to the TCM (and perhaps ECM) that would bring the firmware up to date. In effect, this would also apply corrective code that a TSB would cover - something like applying a Service Pack to Windows which includes all the prior little updates. With the OPs car being Aug 2010 and nearing the end of the basic warranty I don't think it would be harmful to ask for any updates to at least the TCM. <shrug> As my late Mom would say "that's my story and I'm sticking to it!" Cherri is getting a remote start installed today so she's resting peacefully in the shop for a while.

Sorry for the late reply to your post. It never hurts to ask the service department concerning information that may apply to the Fiesta. However, I caution owners, though the symptoms may be the same, the cause may be different. Therefore, the dealer needs to diagnose the Fiesta properly and apply the appropriate available fixes. How is Cherri? Warming up a okay with the new remote start, I hope. ![]() Take care! Noemi

<knocking wood> Strangely enough, the Pacific NW area has had it worse than us ... and we're in the 4th worst snowbelt area of NY! Jan 31 - Monday - was whiteout with 3 feet dumped in Fulton about 10 miles S of us. Yesterday it was 50 degrees so the snow is all but gone!
Remote in Cherri is doing it's thing when needed and Phantoms remote (also installed at the same place a year ago) has also been used a few times. Weather pattern has me worrying that we'll get snow in June or July. ![]() I agree with you that if a PS is exhibiting incorrect behaviors, the symptoms should be determined before a fix. But in the instance of "hey, it's been a long time. is there anything I need to apply to the computer(s) to keep them current?" is not a bad question. I'm looking forward to this update as I and my son can correct all the wrong things we did when we did not understand the PS tranny. Correctly handling that transmission has made a decent improvement in MPG on Cherri for the same approximate delivery-plus miles between the cars. Now I can get Phantom corrected for MY errors. ![]() Take care and try to stay out of trouble! ![]()
