There are some great wiper blade specials located on the Quicklane and Owner.Ford.com sites. Check them out when you have a moment.

Hope this helps to clarify the policy on wiper blades. (Sweat off my brow)

Have a GREAT evening!

Just wanted to point out that the wiper blade coupon on the Ford Owner website that you linked to does not apply to the Fiesta so you probably shouldn't link to it. I just confirmed with 3 local dealers that the Fiesta does not qualify for this offer. I was quoted $17.48/wiper. Please confirm these details before posting "Official" Ford responses as it is very frustrating.

I know that these blades are kind of expensive, but they are A LOT better than the pieces of crap that you get for less than $10. In the end, you get what you pay for and an extra $60 a year (if you replace them twice a year) over the $3 ones is not bad at all for a much better product.

I also don't understand why someone would get so upset about a mistake made by The Ford rep.

Pay the $36 for the pair and enjoy being able to see really well in the rain.

I always clean the wiper blades whenever I clean the windshield or wash the car. Try it one time, and clean them until the paper towel does not turn black when you clean them (when cleaning windshield).
I also use rain-x on my windshield and seldom have to run the wipers. The slope of the glass on the Fiesta really enhances the effect of the rain-x. Driving through Atlanta in a 1984 CRX, in a torrential downpour, with rain-x on my windshield I could read the license plate on a tractor trailer at 60 MPH as I passed him. The water coming off the trailer wheels was like getting sprayed with a fire hose and I could still read the license plate.
The wiper blades get all the crud that builds up on the windshield. They get dirtier faster than just about anything else on the car and they need cleaning more than just about any other part of the car.

regards
Badger

I'm not upset, just pointing out an error made by the official Ford rep that should be clarified to avoid confusion for people who come across this thread. Sorry if that wasn't clear in my post.

I've noticed that the car that is garage kept vs the car that stays outside, the wiper blades last about 2 years for garage vs one year for outside. The sun does the most damage. Perhaps an outside wiper shield could used similar to those windshield covers for wintertime snow. But that could be a pain to put on and off.

Morning jxpresto,

Thank you for your comment and suggestion.

The coupons listed on the Owner.Ford.com site do not state the applicable vehicles or participating dealership. We do, however, like to provide this link in order to give owners who own the Fiesta, as well as, other Ford models the option to take advantage of applicable dealership deals. I’m sorry you were unable to utilize the wiper coupon, but hope you’ll be able use the other bargains listed.

Take care!

Noemi
