No issues with any of the emblems on any of my Foci over the last 12 years.

I actually removed the "Focus" logo off the hatch below the "SVT" badge and it was a royal pain to get it to come off.

Come to think of it the crossbar on the letter F in "Focus" was partially broken off but I did that myself while drying the car after a wash one day.

Looked at my emblem in the front in the grille while towel drying my car this morning after a wash and found the laminate separating (the same as described for my Flex earlier in this thread) so I'll be visiting my dealer to get this replaced.

What's up Ford with your name badges??

mine is doing the same. I'm in another country.

Must just be the way it is! Well now that I've looked it's only the front badge that's cracking up. The rear is fine.

I'm going to try fixing it myself

I don't think it's a widespread problem, just more of an occasional production fault, or if it's on both, there might be unique circumstances your car was exposed to at some point. Like others have mentioned, I've seen this before on many cars, but there's no real rhyme or reason to the occurrences.

yeah, I don't think it is widespread. It also doesn't seem to be limited to cars exposed to salt or winter conditions. This has been a very mild winter, with almost no salt on the roads, so I don't see that as being the cause of the emblem coming apart.

I just looked and mine are coming apart. At least the front one. The car is too dirty for me to tell if the rear one is coming apart. I might just paint it black and put a skull and cross bones decal over it or something like that.

I was actually thinking the exact same thing. Black enamel and a stencil for me

It was skull and crossbones or a smiley face. Something for ****s and giggles

I want to spray my grills and rear valance in a black enamel anyway, might be a job for a weekend.

Hell... I'm getting the thing tinted soon and maybe painting the rims black, it might look really cool or really really lame, but in a cool way

I've already got the painted rims. It'll look cool. I'll have to wait until warmer weather before I do anything with the emblems.

Hi all,

There's just something about that emblem that makes one proud, don't you think?! So take the Fiesta over to the dealer and give them a chance to check and repair, if necessary. While at it, yup - you know the drill , send me a PM with the VIN, current mileage, your personal and dealer contact info. I'll have a Customer Service Manager review the concern.

Hello kabukiman,

How's the weather down under?

I love DIY'ers, but you also have the option of taking the Fiesta over to a dealer. Contact the Customer Relationship Center in your area and have them document the concern. Their number is +61(0) 386 133673 (13FORD).

Take care everyone and have an AWESOME weekend.

Noemi

Thanks Noemi,
I will be stopping by the dealership on Monday night after work to have the emblems looked at, the clock reprogrammed, and the Sync updated. I will report back my results, but I am sure they will be favorable.
