Sent an email to a distributor in Europe to see how much to ship those to the USA and also an email to Tirerack to see if they can get em for me in 18's or even 17's. Probably get the black ones, although probably not getting em for another month or two. Not really into that many spokes, but they look pretty cool when moving. Not sure the black ones would do the same effect

Default Luv the Superturismos

According to OZ's website, there is a Superturismo GT in a 17" for Fiestas. It is a 17x7, 4x108, 48 offset. It is part no. W0167225282. Now we just need to find someone who is importing them to the US! OZ also makes it in a 18",too.

As for the H&R's, I think the ride height looks good. Don't know how much tweaking you're thinking of, but maybe a touch higher in front.

Please let us know if TR can get the OZ 17's.

Tirerack cannot get these wheels.

This company has em and will ship to the USA and no doubt there are others. It was 940euro for the 4 wheels and 240euro to ship it....this is @$1600US for just the rims. Too rich for me.

Looking at these instead

Focal F10 Machined w/Anthracite Accent

emailed Mac at tirerack just to make sure they'll fit before I order.

Casca, I stand in awe of your ride. It looks so great. I've got a couple questions for you my man. I am putting some serious consideration into buying these coilovers.

1.) Can you give me an estimate on where you're sitting in the 1.3-2.8" front and 1.3-2.4" rear drop range?

2.) Do you live in the north? I'm in the Chicago area and have concern for getting stuck in snow.

I am mechancally inclined (engineer), but I live in a apt where I must street park, and dont own very many speciallty auto tools...

3). so, is it A.) possible to do this install without a garage? B.) Cheaper to buy my own tools+equimpment and do my own install? and C.) What kind of time-to-install would I be looking at?

4.) How easy is it (post install) to adjust the coilovers for adjustments and/or lowering/raising?

ps. Sorry to hear your rims arent for sale. Thanks for getting back to me though.

Thanks for the compliment. I didn't take before and after measurements. I just dropped it till it was where I wanted. The kit is listed as 1.3 to 2.8" of drop for the front and 1.3 to 2.4" for the back. I think I am just below the halfway point for the drop. Maybe 2" drop all around at most. I saw your post on the Ford racing suspension, obviously that drop is no where near and you'll still have a ton of wheelwell showing.

I live in Northern California and my apartment has a garage and a driveway. Before that I lived in Hawaii for many years and before that I lived in Florida. I have next to zero experience on snow related issues. However, it is coilovers and you can max out the ride height to being a pretty mild drop. Although you'd need an alignment after the adjustment...

I think it's possible to do it without a garage, although I wouldn't want to do it in the cold. I saw a vid of a person doing a complete turbo install in a parking lot in the rain. Anything is possible, although no doubt it'd be miserable. I don't know how much it cost for a shop to install these, but probably around $300 to $500. I think someone had springs done for $500 including the alingment (@$80). I have a solid set of basic tools since forever. You could buy a nice set at Sears for $200 to $300. Then you'd need ramps ($40)...because once you lower as much as I have...even low profile jacks are not low enough. Floor jack and stands...@$100 and the only specialty tools were spring compressor @$30 and a pass through socket set for taking off the springs properly @$20...at harbor frieght. Then a 10 to 150 ft/lbs torque wrench...@$80 at Sears...don't even bother with the cheapo ones.

I installed the front by myself in about 2 to 3 hours. I wasn't trying to do it fast and wasted alot of my time loligagging. Next day I did the back in about an hour or two. No doubt I can do the complete job now in 2 to 3 hours max.

So, if you have no tools, you're looking at close to $500 in tools, doing the work in the open, probably freezing your ass off and under pressure to be done since I doubt you'd want to leave your brand new car in that condition for long. Then after being done, you don't have a garage to store all your new tools. Honestly, under those conditions and if you have little practical experience working on cars, I'd have a shop do it.

Adjusting the coilovers, I jack up the end I want to adjust, remove tires, turn the perch up or down with a spanner wrench to where I want and put tires back on. I think it's pretty easy.

More noob interview questions for you sir.

How stiff is the ride now? Do you find yourself avoiding bumps more intentionally now? Have areas of your commute been transformed to rough roads, that you didn't notice being rough before?

I am curious basically because I haven't driven on H&R Coilovers before. My Focus (200ish lbs heavier than your Fiesta) has KW Coilovers. My spring rates are about as high as I want to tolerate. 340ish in the front and progressive in the rear. Of course I have no idea what the dampner stiffness is in the realm of things.
But if these are any more uncomfortable than the suspension in my car I would probably be turned off.
