Anytime you you go south of 100mm of sidewall section you are much more susceptible to wheel and tire damage, worse if you live in a pothole state like Michigan.

Have 225/50R17 on my Fusion, dented the steel wheel on a pothole getting on to the highway in the dark, never saw it.

Been reading some UK forums on Fiesta's, seems the 17" wheels buckle over there just as easily. Lots of threads on those forums about it. Going to 45's probably would improve chances a little, but not much. Here in the states, Ford would be recalling and replacing wheels and tires after we sue, while the Brits and other Euro's just accepts it. Probably why we got 16's with 50's . I run 235/35's front and 265/30's rear on my other car and so far haven't cracked or even put major dings on the lip....yet. But I have dinged it going over very minor curbs that I know a 50 series wouldn't have had any issue with. I do drive carefully with regards to my wheels, like I'm on eggshells. Luckly most of the roads around me are decent.

My 15" aluminum wheels that will come on my SE with the SAP 202a will be my winter wheels and even my summer wheels are most likely going to be 15" as well. Our roads are always bad. Really bad. By the time the last pot hole is filled, it's winter and the new ones come in with a vengeance.

I like these, if I had seen em earlier I would have waited before ordering. 17x8 supposedly.....looks hyperblack and has a nice concave thing going that I really like, although it's barely there for these rims. Not really into the stretched tires, sure it look much better with tires that fit right, although it's probably stretched because...17x8.

Guessing we can't roll the fenders either since the bumper covers are a part of the fender and isn't metal

Got my new rims, not really happy with the look. I am sure it'll be much better lowered, but will still probably be getting something else in a few months or at the very least, after I install my coilovers. This time I'll want to see it mounted on a car first

That's just off jacks, so hasn't settled at all yet. Will probably make use of the powercoating set-up at my work and make the whole wheel satin black or just rattle can on the cheap.

I got a TPMS activator along with these for $100. However, after driving around for 3 or 5 miles, no TPMS light has illuminated.

Can you take a picture showing the entire car?

There looks to be alot of wheel gap in the back. Did you just put the car down on the ground?

Yeah, that was taken just after install. It has settled a bit now and looks a little better and no doubt will be fine for me after I install the coilovers.....but still not thrilled over it and will be getting a different set. The Fiesta does feel much better on the 17's and 40's though.
