The Kumhos are NOT good for ice/snow to any great depth. The tread pattern is too narrow and not aggressive enough to afford good traction. I learned that on Phantom when I was slip/sliding all over in just 4" on top of icy roads.
Remember I am in the upstate NY snowbelt. Our normal annual snowfall is well over 10 feet total with some storms dumping several inches in a very short time. The Syracuse, NY area (essentially Oswego, Onondaga, Oneida counties) are more snowy in Winter than Buffalo. You are correct on the rim swap to 16" - if I go 195/50R16 the difference at 60 is .2 MPH in that I will be going 59.8 and not 60. Standard tire size is 195 if the Fiesta comes with the OEM 16" rims (SEL, SES?). Fiesta 15" rims are 185/60R15 tires.

I am late to the game but I wanted to show off some of the wheels that Steeda has to offer. We have some great pieces too!

We carry all of the above wheels at The Tire Rack and I believe we have them at a lower price as well.
