205-45R17 or 215-40R17?

What's your opinion 205-45R17 or 215-40R17?
Everything is stock and I want to use my Focus SVT wheels.
Also looking into the Ford Racing suspension package.

I put 215/40R17 tires on mine. here are my 5 spoke SVT wheels and Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires.

You don't need to go with 205's. I used 215/40-17 and stock, had zero issues. I only needed to do something to clear the BBK. 1st pic is 215/45-17 and the second with the SVT wheels is 215/40-17.

Any thoughts on all-season tires?

not sure on all seasons, since I am dedicated summer/winter tire person. The best solution is to check out the Tire Rack, look for a performance all season in the 215/40 size, and read the test results and reviews. I buy 100% of my tires from them and their test results and reviews are how I decide. Unless you are planning on driving in lots of winter weather, pick an all season that is a little more performance based. The Fiesta's suspension really shines with a good set of tires.

I'm biased...I put a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's on my SVT Focus and loved them! They were relatively inexpensive too, I think I paid $400 out the door a few years ago.

okay so i see people like the 215/40R17 but what the difference between the 205/45R17 and 215/40R17? If i look the size on tirerack.com says i need the 205?45R17? Confused lol
