Default Ford Fiesta ST at 2012 Detroit Auto Show

Here are 3 pics of the new Fiesta ST from the 2012 Detroit auto show.

Looks like they are moving the antenna to the front of the roof (so it won't interfere with the rear euro spoiler) and making it longer.

P.S. They blacked out the windows because the interior (hard to see inside) was just a carryover cloth seat car!

I wonder if that was a euro 5-door Fiesta in ST trim. notice the fuel door is the pop out kind that we don't get in the us.

That pop out gas cover would be a nice feature since we can't put a locking gas cap on our 2011-'12 cars.

Yeah, definitely a combo of the US/ Euro concepts. All of the Euro Fiesta's have the same (longer) antenna that was used on the MK1 Focus here - and they place it in the front.

The rear bumper however - is NOT the thinner Euro spec version and appears to be minus the functional rear fog lights.

OK so there's the car. What about details? Is Ford saying yet that this is the production model vs. concept or prototype? Any announcements when the production version will be available?

Looks to me like we will not get the 3 Dr version here in the States. Total bummer.

Yeah I bought one of those for my Fiesta. Now using it on my Focus since it fits it as well. It does not plug the filler tube. That is, it does not force open the fuel flap at all. When you turn the key to lock it, there is a small tab that pops out and grips under the lip of the opening itself.
