2012 steering wheel has volume? 2011 upgradable?

Since we have an in-car technology person now.

There is rumors that the 2012 will include the much anticipated volume control on the wheel, us 2011 owners would like to know if this would be a swappable part (whole wheel, buttons...whatever is needed).

I want to know this too. Volume yes. Phone meh.

Even if it was some sort of reflash I would be fine with hitting the Phone button for Vol+ and OK for Vol-
I use volume controlls 99% more of the time than the phone/ok button.

The EU Fiesta Movement Fiesta had the volume controls on the steering wheel, and it took me about 4-6 months worth of hitting the phone button on mine to remember they took volume away on the US models. I would doubt it would be possible to make the buttons from the 2012 work on the 2011. It would require a hardware and software update.

I was thinking the same thing. However I don't even have the buttons and I can be a pessimist.

I'll be honest with you, a dealer won't know diddly about that, haha. Unless you get a verrrryy knowledgable tech they are going to say no. The main thing to wait for will for someone to actually try it.
