Default Running power wire for amp

Hi guys I've searched around and can't find a thread showing where you run your power wires for an amp.

Could someone take a pic of where to do this from under the hood and where you ran the wires?

Thanks.

i've installed a few car stereo systems in different cars. i will find the 'hole' in the firewall. i made this post because it's always nice to read about what other people have done. which hole they used, drivers side vs passenger side. going down the left side vs the right or center of the car. maybe there have been discussions.

A drill and a drill bit are the best way!

Every car ie ran systems in got a fresh hole and grommet to route my power wires (4 and 00ga).

Not gpnna run a system in this car tho.

A manual, it's in my signature.

I found a way to go through without drilling. Under the hood you can pass by the quarter pannel, then take the plastic cap off near the drivers door. Then run the power wire down through to the drivers floor. I protected the power wire with a plastic wrap and modified the plastic cap with silicon to be sure it's held in place. From there Pass through the floor plasitcs and find yourself in the trunk.

I ran the RCA cables down the middle and used the rear speaker wire and a RCA conversion kit. No holes, no cables cut off the stock set up. Works perfect. Since I don't have a spare tire and have the styrofoam casing for the jack etc... I used the spare tire empty screw hole to ground the amp, looks cleaner.

I'm running a JL audio 10w3v3-4 with a Rockford Fosgate R500-1 amp.

The wiring, building the box, and hooking it all up took me 6 hours.

Would be great to see some pictures as well. I’m going to need to run some wires from the front to back for my LED Amber Side Marker and Rear Turn Signal mod later in the Spring.
