Have you removed yours? I have an 'S' sedan and I took mine out after the second day. I've stored them in a double-sealed plastic bag and stashed them in a safe, dry place.
Frankly, they were far too distracting in my rearview mirror and seemed to uncomfortably restrict the rearward view. I will rarely have anyone in the back seat anyway and removing them really opens up the back window viewing area. Plus folding down the rear seat backs is now actually practical.

I have a hatchback and have my rear headrests out most of the time. The visibility to the back is greatly increased. I keep them in the floor space behind the driver's seat. They're easy to put in or remove, so I put them in when I have someone in the back.

I didn't notice any issue with the headrests in the sedan. In the hatch they are annoying. I had them out of the sedan just to see if there was a difference, and for me it's just as good to keep them in and not have to worry about storing them elsewhere.

Ha! They are already black!
![]() I left mine in, I'm used to not being able to see directly behind, most of the trucks I drive at work are van bodies. So, I'm always surprised at how much visibility I have in the hatch!
