Default 1980 fiesta project

Well i have picked up a 1980 ford fiesta for free out of a odd encounter with a customer at the shop i work at. I was in the process of buying a yugo for a drag project when he assured me he had something better. I ventured over to his house to be greeted by a mini with a honda motor, rx7 with a 302 6 merkurs x19, an anglia, few cortinas, and 4 fiestas. i knew i was in for a treat.
after talkin for a while he walked me over to a muck covered white fiesta(has that crap on it u can pressure wash off). no motor/suspension, and the interior was in a pile in the back. the dash and column were still there and in great shape.. he asked if i had any ideas now that ive seen something and immediately we started measurements. being as ive built many hondas and know there motors pretty well, it was and is my first instinct to swap a 140hp b series motor in there and have a very well rounded car. The cost is cheap and i would graph in a honda front suspension setup/ full cage etc. just wondering who all out there has done something like this, or if im pioneering this idea. Ive seen alot of these duratec motors going in, but i think that cost is a little out of my range and i do not know those motor]s very much at all.
well. here is as she is now. ill be towing it to our shop where ill clean it up and get started on the tear down and suspension first so it can roll.

Very nice. I come from a family that loves restoring cars! I'm eager to see the progress along the way and finished Fiesta. (:

Default Good Luck

Great find...there's nothing cheaper then free.
Post everything that you're no using in the yahoo fiesta group, perhaps you could pick up a few bucks.

Anyone know what ever happened to this guy? I was excited to see this project.
