To my Christian friends: Happy Easter!
To my Jewish friends: Happy Passover!
To my Pagan friends: Happy Ishtar!
To my Atheist friends: It's Sunday.

That's true...

For those wondering about Ishtar, here's the explanation of the Pagan holiday:

"Ishtar", which is pronounced "Easter" was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of their gods that they called "Tammuz", who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god.

And that's today's lesson in religious theory 101.

Regardless of your religion, I hope everyone has a good day!

And that's different than our traditional Easter how? Amazing how similar most religions are. Thanks for the history in religion 101 and waiting for course 201.

Course 201: Every major holiday in Christianity is 'borrowed' from an aspect of a pagan religion. Transmuting a Christian meaning onto an existing pagan holiday made it easier for the invading Romans to convert the indigenous populous.

"You say you celebrate this thing on December 25th every year where one of your gods brings the 'light' back into the world? Funny story! We worship that 'light' too, and WE have a name for him! Sure he might have actually been born in the spring, but hey, if it makes it easier for you, celebrate it whenever you want!"
