Default Any Other Photographers?

Anyone else here a shutterbug?

My main hobby is exploring abandoned structures with my camera. I love forgotten places and want to capture them before they are (inevitably) demolished and turned into strip malls.

I use a Panasonic Lumix GF1 with a few lenses. I'm really a fan of mirrorless photo technology. I've owned DSLR cameras and I prefer the smaller size and lighter weight of mirrorless. Plus, when you have a smaller camera, nobody takes you seriously and you can go about your shooting without being called a terrorist.

My Monterey Gray Fiesta should be here in a week. Expect photos of the new car in the faction fotos section around then

Here are a few of my shots. Lets see yours as well!

Nice shots. Photography is on a long list of hobbies I'd like to try but will probably never make the time for.

Thank you sir!

I always have my camera with me. I can't imagine living life without documenting it with photos. Although it's a hobby now, I think it will mean a lot more one day when I'm older.

But you're right- so many hobbies, so little time.

Definitely hard to make a living as an artist. I have some college time in on a fine arts degree, had to give it up to chase the evil $. Now I'm servicing the oil industry... I hear you, someday...

I like your shots. Got some depth to them.

Graduated from college in 2010 with a BFA in Photography and Cinematography. In Metro-Detroit area now, hopefully my Fiesta and I will move out to LA in August!

In the mean time, I don't use flicker at all but I do have a website...

I love abandon buildings as well - Detroit, perfect place for it.

i've always liked photography and had a nice 35mm. But, when i decided to go digital happened to be the day after i put 4K down on my fiesta. So i ended up buying a very entry-level camera (Canon powershot SX130 IS). I have'nt rerally messed with it other than taking a few pics of my car and stuff im selling on CL.

plan on getting more into photo stuff soon though.

Reall dig some of yur shots. The wheelchair shot is really cool and the 7th shot down as well. hopefully Ill get some shots up here soon.

I recently picked up a Nikon D90. I just haven't had the time to really play with it or get some courses under my belt. At other times, a Canon Powershot sits in my work bag for those impromptu moments.

Great camera. Once my funds allow, I'm also looking at a possible Nikon system for paying jobs. I have my eye on the D90 or D7000 with a 50mm f1.4, 30mm f1.4, 8-16mm and 16-85mm. I'll most likely stick with micro four thirds for my personal photography because of size and weight though.

Nice shot. I've only worked with natural light since that works best with my preferred subjects, but I wouldn't mind experimenting with off camera flash sometime.

Detroit is an urban explorer's dream. A few of my contacts are heading up there for a weekend of photography and exploration.

Nice website as well. Now get on flickr so I can add you as a contact
