Default Moderator review before posting?

Never had this happen before. As I posted a new thread a screen popped up indicating my post will posted after a moderator reviews it.
I'm not complaining but I never saw this before and my post always posted immediately.
Anybody else experience this before?

Funny. This posted immediately but my other one still has not posted.

It's part of the spam filtering system.

It can be a bit of a nuisance, but comparing our system with other forums I moderate, it's been REALLY good in filtering out spam of all sorts. You don't have to worry about it needing a review, we just have to tell the system this about you before letting you in through its doors:

Something went wrong. Please make sure you added the video correctly. Click here to see how YouTube videos should be embedded. There could also be a technical issue that's not your fault. Click here to view the video on YouTube's site. If this link doesn't work, you did something wrong.

Sounds good to me.
But are changes taking place this morning? Normally I will hit the New Post to see all the posting of all the forums of the last few days. Now all of a sudden only "new" post show up. Is it my browser or FF?

This has happened to me numerous times. Usually it's when my posts include a link, even though it may be safe, the filter picks it up as spam. It can be really annoying, but I understand its purpose.

This had happen to me as well I've only gotten it once though and a couple of specific conditions were met that possibly triggered it? First off I was posting on my own thread as a response to myself (was adding more details to the thread) and at that point no one had responded to the thread... Also i had links in the thread and maybe those links were flagged for whatever reason? idk i don't really know for sure but the post was "under review" and it never got posted... I retryed without the links and the post went through right away... I have not gotten the "message under review" notice since then.

Now it makes sense. I never thought about the link.

I have had it happen twice...once with summit racing site and once with ethanol free gas site.

Not sure why either of those would flag unless some wiseguy put some spammy keywords in his html.

Default Moderator approval of posts

Do all posts always require moderator approval? I ask because I almost always find that when I first see someone ask a question, if I reply there's about a 24 hour delay before my answer shows up, but I often see replies from other folks within minutes. It kinda takes all the fun out of participating.

Is there something I can do to get off the "requires approval" list?
