Any1 play Catherine? (Or other games I suppose...)

We pre-ordered Catherine and it just so happened our daughter was out of the house all weekend so we actually got to play it too!! What a great game, so simple but so engrossing.

It really was more of a choose your own adventure movie in the end but so well done, great acting, great animation, good storyline (way better than I expected), a good mind #*(&$ and a blast to play.

We started at 8pm on Friday, decided to crash around 330, restarted at 7pm and finished at close to 4am Saturday.

Quick game but worth every penny...there is also 8 endings and the ending movie is like 12min long so you definitely get rewarded.

IMO it could have been more adult, if you are jumping into R-rated movie language you might as well top it off with proper nudity too, especially in a game with such a theme.

Anyways...I higly recommend this game, it was a great experience and a good way to spend a weekend with my wife...who luckily agreed on every one of the questions that was asked (they ask you relationship questions to "judge" your morality).

One of my friends is obsessed with that game. He wouldn't shut up about it and he actually turned me off of it with his overthetop fanboyism :P But it's not really my style.

As far as other game, I just finished Mass Effect 1&2, before that Portal 1&2, and am continually minecrafting and TF2ing.

Portal 1&2 were our last games too.

I understand the turn-off but I would argue his fanboyism was warranted...it's that good.

Although completely different, it was like Portal in that we didn't want to do anything else until it was done.

That's how I was with Dragon Age 2. Unfortunately work interrupted me a couple of times.

Wow...that's like becoming a hermit style dedication...I prefer the short games. Long ones tend to wear us out.

i can't wait until this fall, i'm so bored with games right now. waiting on gears 3 and AC revelations mainly right now. BFBC 3 should be interesting, but i never got into it too much. preordered MW3, even though i do not have very high hopes for it.

It peaked my interest on maybe a gamefly commercial that showed the box. I was like what is that game with the chick on the cover and started looking into it. Was a must have from there.

I haven't looked into it. I've been busy recently, but games in my queue are already pretty full thanks to the recent Steam sales. I need to finish Mass Effect 2 (I'm maybe 40% through), play Half-Life + all sequels, I've started Red Dead Redemption, and I have LA Noire still in its packaging from my birthday in June. I hope this stuff will keep me occupied until TOR this winter.

The best one was CoD 4, the original Modern Warfare. I freakin' loved that game. Each one has gotten just a little bit worse. I've bought every one until now, not falling for it again with MW3. Give me my vehicles, destructible environment and more realistic gameplay with Bad Company. Medic or Recon ftw.
