Default 2011 Summer Vacation w/ Fiesta

I just recently got back from my summer vacation which was a ten day trip to Maine. This was also the first long road trip in my Fiesta. While on vacation I proposed to my g/f on top of Cadillac Mt. in Acidia National Park. My Fiancé has family up in Maine which was one of the reasons for going there. Her uncle set us up with his camper and her dad paid for the campsite we stayed at. We had a wonderful vacation and my Fiesta did a great job getting us there and back. I took many pictures while up in Maine that I'll share with you all.

My Fiesta while at a rest stop in New Hampshire.

This is how I got all our luggage and her son in my Fiesta. I'm still loving the storage space this car has for being such a small vehicle.

At our campsite for the week.

Parking at Old Orchard Beach near Portland, ME.

On top of Cadillac Mt. in Acidia National Park. This is where I proposed to her in front of half her family and all the tourists.

The ring.

At Fort Knox and the Penobscot Observatory Bridge, (which is 1 of 3 in the world and the only in the United States).

We went on a whale watching boat tour from Bar Harbor, ME. The boat took us 20-30 miles out into the ocean. While out there we saw 4 finback whales and a humpback whale named Gemini that's been in the area since 1978.

On the way back home we detoured into Boston. While there we saw TD Gardens, Boston College and Harvard.

This yellow widebody Porsche decided that his car was faster than my Fiesta and just took off.

Her son was having fun in the back seat on the return trip home. He's so goofy sometimes.

We had a wonderful time on vacation. It was nice visiting her family and seeing a lot of what Maine has to offer vacationers. My Fiesta did a great job getting us there and back. I averaged between 38-41 mpg on every tank of gas I used. What a great little car and a great vacation.

Now I have to get into wedding planning mode.....we only have a year till the big day!!

Congratulations! I wish I could take the Fiesta on our upcoming vacation but I don't think we could fit all our stuff in it. Plus, my 33 year old brother looks just a little bit bigger than the little guy you had with.
