Wink Your favorite "guilty pleasure" movie

So everyone has a favorite movie, they tend to be fairly standard. But every also has a not-so-popular movie that they enjoy. Hell, it doesn't ten have to be a good movie, but something you enjoy despite.

Me? My guilty movie is "Orgazmo".

Mmost movies really. I like a lot of really bad movies...

The Underworld series is a favorite. Legends, the old (I believe) Tim Curry movie, is another. I'm sure there's a bunch of others I just forget

Thumbs up Guilty pleasures

Science fiction. Good, Bad, and the Ugly (not the movie, but the science fiction) Be it books, movies, or podcast. Also crappy Scy-Fy movies.

Big Band and swing music from the 30's, 40's and early 50's. Including most of the vocalist...But not Billie Holiday or Peggy Lee! They just don't do it for me.

The previous generation of entertainers just to name a few:
Dean Martin
Frank Sinatra
Jackie Gleason
Red Skelton
Bob Hope
Jack Benny
Jimmy Durante (and his side kick Eddy Jackson)...not many people will even know who he is.

I tend to live in the past but I like hi-tech gadgets!

Just yesterday I brought up Orgazmo to a friend. I was driving to their house and saw a couple mormons out and about...this movie is the first thing that came to mind.

TEETH! That's another one. I LOVE Teeth. I had a male friend of mine watch it and the entire time he was like NO DUDE DON'T SAY THINGS LIKE THAT...YUP...THERE GOES ANOTHER D-CK. Also the crab scene he about lost it with laughter (which I also did). Plus the dog part. That movie is pure comedy gold.

Since this is "Guilty Pleasures", I have to name some movies that would seemingly be out of character for a middle aged Engineer - "Zombieland" and "Dude, Where's my Car". I just can't lay off quirky comedies from any generation (my all time favorite movie is "Blues Brothers" but there is no guilt involved)

Favorite movies (can't pick): Young Frankenstein and Serenity

Guilty pleasure movie? Breakfast at Tiffany's. While I don't like romances, I guess I have a soft spot for my namesake.

Very good choices. I'll always equate Audrey Hepurn as Holly Go-lightly

I have a couple of flicks. My favorite type of flick is one that seems to be one thing but is actually quite different from what people think it is. I can tell by the reviews of my two films that a lot people were so dense they just didn't understand what they were watching. The flicks are "Beloved Brat" and "Creation of the Humanoids". They both deal devastating blows to racial prejudice. The thing is, they are so metaphoric that most people don't "get" them.

Beloved Brat is shown about every other year on TCM. It has one of my favorite little actresses, Bonita Granville, in the lead. I can assure you her character is neither beloved nor is she a brat. It has about the most disgusting scene I have ever witnessed regarding racism. A tall white butler picks up a small black boy Bonita has invited to supper at her mansion and flings the small black boy out the front door. At that point Bonita goes berserk.

The Creation of the Humanoids is a very odd SciFi flick. AMC shows it occasionally. If you're a SciFi fan I'm sure you've seen a SciFi flick that had excellent special effects, decent sets, pretty decent acting yet was horrible because of the crappy boring storyline. Creation is the exact opposite. The sets look like they got a bargain on lurid red at a discount paint store. The actors are a bunch of no names who can't act. There's practically no special effects. And yet the story line is completely original and most excellent.

The thing both of these flicks have is zinger at the end. The Beloved Brat zinger is very subtle and you have to watch for it at the very end. The Creation zinger is the last line in the flick and it may make your head explode! My reviews are at IMDB.com.
