A dog ate my Fiesta

I s*&t you not, a f^%$ing dog chased a feral kitten under the hood of my car. The dog proceeded to cave in both front fenders and put dozens of scratches down to the metal on each side. The front bumper cover is gouged in several places. I talked to my Insurance agent and although she says it the first time she's ever heard of something like this, we are covered after our 500$ deductible. Yes , I know where the dog owners live. Yes they will be getting a visit. It's up to them how they want this to go.

I think going to the owners and demanding compensation is reasonable. I would perhaps call the police and file a complaint or whatever is appropriate as well. Those people need to control their pets and keep them from trespassing and causing property damage.
