You will be missed good sir. Thank you for striving for innovation like you did and bringing all kinds of wonderful devices to our lives. You were a true visionary, the world will miss you.

Sad. A pioneer has set off on a new journey.

Love or hate him... you cannot deny that this man knew how to make entire industries shift paradigms. He dragged innovation kicking and screaming into the spotlight and made those innovations household names. The name "iPod" is the "Kleenex" or "Saran Wrap" of our generation. His impact on the technology industry is measurable on the Richter Scale. His death will leave a crater that may never be filled to the same level again.

That being said, I haven't seen Audrey on here or Google+ since the announcement. I imagine she's taking it pretty hard. Buck up, kiddo!

Steve Jobs was a marketing genius who could sell coal to a miner and bread to a baker. He was a master at taking others' ideas and changing slightly to make them seem better. Apple will endure, but it will never be the same.

completely agree. jobs was a marketing genius, i'll give him that. he always found a way to get people excited over "new" things that already existed and people always gave him credit for inventing them.

i really wonder if this is the end of apple.

He was innovative in the late 80s and early 90s. "Lisa" for example was a first.

It's weird i think this is the most profound impact someone's death who i don't personally know has had on me. He definitely is the Thomas Edison of our time and it hurts me deeply.. more deeply than i thought it would.

For Those of you who haven't already been bombarded by all this I would highly recommend checking out Steve's Stanford Commencement Speech. In it he really paints an interesting take on the meaning of life and living to ones fullest. I think sometimes we forget that while he was a icon he was also just a man who had a family too.
