Tis The Season - Gift Ideas/Guides

I don't know about you guys, but I am not the best gift giver. I am also, probably, fairly hard to shop for. I have a lot of interests, but am fairly practical. So I thought I'd start a thread for us to give gift getting ideas and advice.

I found this site and thought it seemed interesting: ThisIsWhyImBroke.com.

I'll also spend a lot of time looking through Amazon, ThinkGeek, and Etsy for people.

Where do you guys find gift inspiration?

Think Geek but usually my own warped imagination.

Example: my brother-in-law and his SO have been together for enough years that Gene Simmons and Shanon Tweed were getting a run for the money. Well, these two are getting married on Nov 11 and the car window will read: JUST MARRIED ... FINALLY!!

When baby sis got hitched 30-odd years ago ... my brother and I wore garage overalls initially. We tied the strings of cans to the rear axle and various wire harnesses along the frame of the Nova they had. We then shed the work clothes and appeared in church in our best suites. Ohhh ... did I mention, she and her groom are Mormon and the cans we tied to the car were beer cans? <shrug>

I wasn't thinking about wedding gift ideas, but rather Christmas-time gifts. Interesting stories. I think 11-11-11 will be a popular date for all types of events (Skyrim!) since it is the last binary date of this century.
