Black Friday
Any of you people crazy enough to venture into the stores at midnight tonight or in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow? I know I'll be lucky to leave the house. I can't handle crazy ill-mannered people solo, let alone when they travel in droves to sales like moths to light.

YES, YES, YES....
 This a yearly ritual for me and certain members of the family. For me it's fun thing. I don't get all worked up over getting a bagain but if I can so be it, if not then so what. I love to watch the people. On past years, when the temps were below freezing and the wind was whipping my son-in-law and I would make a night of it. At predetermined time my daughter would bring us hot chocolate. We would bring our cameras and take pictures of the crowds and mayhem. Make good friends with strangers while waiting line. We would make a plan and team up with specifics targets to get everything. Without causing undo stress we managed to always get all we went for. The funniest thing I did a few years back is to get my son-in-law all excited and worried that he might be not be be able to beat the crowd at Pepboys for several items. Although I knew that it would not be a problem I managed to get him so psyched up that he left at 12:00 mid-night to stand in-line even though the store did not open till 2:00am. I told him I would meet him there just a little later. I never came till 2:00am. It was one of those 30 degree nights. At best only 25 people showed up 2:00 am and there were plenty of product.  Black Friday can be fun if you take the right attitude.

I try to avoid all shopping for a month from Thanksgiving to Christmas. The stores keep playing that mind worm, brain virus Christmas music. I can't get rid of it until the 4th of July.

Walmart (ugh in general) has a 51" Samsung LCD TV for $500. That is tempting.
