Yeah, I wanted to trade in my old car for something better but I didn't want this to happen. I was hoping it would live on for years bringing joy to others until it was eventually sold for parts. The idiot who bought it obviously didn't know how much it meant to me. You will be missed, old buddy.

Any of my previously owned cars bring back fond memories but that is as far as it goes. Once it leaves my ownership it's nothing more than a piece of metal that is not worth more than what I received for it. No sentimentality or second thoughts. Of course the majority of my cars have been run right into the ground and without a lot of $ can't be salvaged except for salvage.

My old car wasn't worth anything and was falling apart and was loud and obnoxious but I ALWAYS do a double-take when I see a 4th gen red Camaro drive by. Too many fond memories not to wonder where it ended up.

I know how you feel. I had that same emotional attachment to my first car, a silver 86 b2000 that I totaled. What happened to it? Were you hit or did you hit someone? Either way I hope you are ok.

My dad found a Porsche he and my mom had in a salvage yard this past year.

I hope the kid that bought my car is still driving it and caring for it. It seemed like a good home.

I wasn't in the car at the time. I traded it in back in October 2010 and this happened at the hand of the person who bought it. I occasionally Google the VIN to see what my old cars are up to, that's how I found this.
