I wrote a book

You might have wondered where I was recently. I didn't fall out of love with my beautiful Lola or the cool people here...no way! I have just been spending just about every minute of my spare time writing a novel.

It is done and available via Kindle only right now. My paperback proof is on order and once it is proof-read I will green-light it and it will be available on demand.

The book is called Ice Cats and is about a guy who builds a women's hockey team that plays in the professional minor leagues against all guy teams. He searches high and low and finds women from all sorts of different sports and disciplines.

I would appreciate if anyone would help support the cause and if you don't read maybe recommend to someone who does. I don't make a lot on the thing but I am also donating proceeds to women's hockey teams on a tiered scale. Bascially the more books I sell the more teams I will donate to.

Just a thought, but have you considered getting some sort of deal with Kobo? They are the Canadian equivalent of the Nook, and with the subject being hockey I am sure that you would do fairly well selling to Canadians.

I'll look into that, I didn't know there was such a thing. Right now it is exclusive with Kindle because of the Kindle select program but I can drop out of that at any time.

Oddly enough, neither do I.

I probably will start though. Apparently the self-publishing world is "scratch my back and I will scratch yours" so you can get reviews and stuff so I am starting to read some other books because of that.

Not that I don't enjoy reading but since I got off the ship I haven't really found the time. Maybe I should put down the internet more and read.

I'm not an avid reader, but my aunt is and she loves hockey. So I'll point it out to her. (: if you get paperbacks a signed copy might be cool. Glad you and Lola are still going strong.
