Default Norm - just for you!

Phantom, 2 hours after the kid got home today. Sorry about the fuzziness, it's snowing!

Cherri, 3 hours after I got home

Since you;re such a geek (yeah, right!) - lights-out shots of

keyboard - Logitech G15 (version 1). White window usually has CPU & RAM usage but can display almost anything.

computer case - Raidmax Smilodon. Bright blur is an 80mm CPU cooling fan in the case side-panel (in addition to 2 120mm fans front/rear); blue strips to right are the case front deco bars.

I should note that the white pile behind Phantom is a Dodge Avenger owned by the landlord. He'll dig it out tomorrow, he sez.

I like the lighted keyboard. I have one too but I bought a cheap one and it doesn't really work all that well.

Oh man! Seeing that snow makes me so NOT miss living in the Mohawk Valley! I used to freeze my a** off there. Gonna be 65 here tomorrow. Might wash the car or go on a picnic or something.

Go ahead, rub it in. You'll get yours. Those Mid Plains snowstorms may not be constant but when they hit they pack a good punch.

I actually wish it would snow at least once here this winter. I won't even begin to speculate why, but for the past decade it's snowed less and less here every year. I can remember a time when being snowed in for days at a time and everything being closed was something that happened every winter. Now, not so much. So far this year we've had ZERO snow.

When I was stationed at the airbase, about the only time I saw snow was around mid-February and then only 2-4 inches. Mostly it was freezing rain, ice, sleet.

I didn't miss snow then and in fact I'm strongly leaning to the Russellville/Ft. Smith, Fayetteville area for retirement. I loved wandering around there ... gorgeous countryside.

PS - I was in Hot Springs for the closeout of legalized gambling back in the '60s. I had just won $50 out of a slot in a bar when the Feds came in and locked it up. Me, the bartender and my buddies were still counting all the quarters as they did it!

Remember, he lives in a tornado-prone area. Thus he can get smacked around in the Spring when we're thawing out in front of a nice cozy fire or something. We do have some advantages.

I have the same keyboard

My husband has the new one. I like the blue back light better.
