Tax Time - What's your return?

I'm still waiting for my tax paperwork to arrive... Since I'm a college student I was able to claim some unemployment for a while when I was laid off... They "supposedly" mailed them out already.... however I have yet to get mine...

Rough estimating... I should get between $3000-4000 (financial aid lowered my taxed by like $1500 since the GI bill covers all my education expenses).

I have my taxes setup that i take the max deductions, so at the end of the year, i get maybe 100-300$ back.

I'm not in a place I could afford a mortgage on my own, but everyone I've known that has one gets a nice sized return from claiming that interest at the end of the year. So I think it works out in their favors. I also have max deductions setup at work and end up paying; I'm not sure why it works out this way.

Hmm, 5% of a grand+ a month... I might have to tow the damn house across the border..

Federal - 1581; 792 was all I paid because I was deployed so I got it all back and 789 for the government making a payment on my student loan

State - 0 (military)

My returns are usually around 1700

State: I owe $122.

Actually getting a little bit back. $150 from the USA and $86 from Oregon. (:

Company I work for has taken out just enough for the taxes that I owe 0 and get 0 back...

So nothing for me!

Congrats to both of you. That is the perfect set up. You are getting the biggest bang for your dollar. Now if you can manage to owe say just under $100, that would be even better.
