As someone who's 6'8, woudn't you have an awfully hard time getting in and out of your car when parked in a tight spot if there were only three doors?

So while, yes, it's more difficult for me to get out in a tight spot than someone smaller than myself... that is true exiting ANY car.

We did finally have to trade her ZX3 for a Windstar when baby three came along although I do regularly carry the whole family of five in my SVT to this day. ![]() A four door may be a bit easier with kids but a three door is more than liveable. |

I don't understand why Ford went to the trouble AND expense of engineering a sedan for NA, but wouldn't offer us the 3-dr that ALREADY EXISTS!! It probably could've been a price leader. With apologies to all you sedan owners, I think the 4-dr ruins the Fiesta image. It takes an innovative design and turns it into another Corolla/Sentra/Civic. The sedan should've had a different name(a la Golf into Jetta)

We've owned four 3-door Ford hatchbacks: a 1990 Festiva, 1997 Aspire, 2001 Focus ZX3 and a 2005 Focus ZX3 SES. All were great cars, but as the years have gone on getting stuff from the backseat hasn't gotten any easier.
That's why we decided to go with the Fiesta SES 5-dr this time around. We're still getting the hatch we need plus gaining two extra doors for easier access to the backseat! Harry Last edited by Harry Ford; 07-31-2010 at 05:49 PM. |

I prefer what I got ... the 5 door Hatchback!!!!
It is great looking but easier to put people or stuff in the back seats.
