Ugh it didn't come with the mounting tabs as I thought it did. So those are now on order. Won't get it installed till Monday or Tuesday now.

It's going too stay there, but I need to come up with a better Velcro system this weekend.

Still learning all that the UltraGauge can do, but I like it.

Filled up the tank

Showered her to take the salt grime off and made the front license plate bracket disappear.

Telero wants to do that to mine. I'm just not sure. Drilling holes for it seems scary.

I’ve waited this long due to worrying about drilling, but finally decided enough was enough.

I used a ¼” bit and went straight into the rivet about ¼” give or take a wee bit. Once I was in I slowly began rotating the drill in gradually larger circles until they broke free. Took all of 10 minutes.

Definitely cleans the lines and looks 100% better. I just need to get some stainless screws for the front and back plates now.

*Edit*
It also saves weight!! WOO HOO! Better gas mileage!

The placement is definitely smarter than all the way up on the bumper. Looks a lot less obtrusive.

Well, the holes that would be drilled to mount the plate would be covered up by the OEM plate holder if for some reason you wanted to go back to the factory look.

I'm curious about why you put it there with Velcro instead of using the included mount in the little side window? With a Velcro mount you will have to un-velcro it to access the buttons on the back.
