Default Cleaning your headliner?

I was just wondering what everyone uses to clean their headliners? Mine has a couple of smudges, but I don't want to mess it up using the wrong thing.

I'd try a mild soap solution (dish washing soap should do) on a sponge. Sponge gently and wipe with a dry cloth. Be careful and take your time.

Default Depends on the smudges...

.....always start gentle and work your way up. So, I'd first try a bit of Fantastik on a cotton rag and rub veeeery gently.

The above suggestion of dish soap sounds good, but is actually the most potentially destructive, b/c you're adding much more water then you need, and then there's the effects of the soap residue (which can stain or leave a ring), as dish soap needs a rinse.

Better living thru chemicals here, the use of something that doesn't require water or rinsing is best. If the Fantastik doesn't work, let it dry overnight, and then go with a touch of WD-40 on a rag.

I suggest a product called Nature's Magic. Removes almost any stain. A must if you have pets.

I tend to be very cautious with chemicals. That's also why I said a mild solution. I guess we'll hear all about the results.

My wife is a vet tech and they sell that stuff at their clinic. I've never used it, but she says it works very very well.

WD-40 is for sissies. I have a preference for 75W-140 gear oil.

Ford has issued a TSB for headline spots, apparently there was some manufacturing defect. Just call your dealer and you can get it replaced.

I saw that TSB and checked my headliner.. I was dreading the worse after seeing some of those issues but I could only find one rustish colored blemish overall....

Not enough to get upset over, if more start appearing I will be addressing it but time will tell!
