Adding a coat of wax to a clean set of rims will help to prevent the brake dust from bonding to the surface of the rims.

our OE brake pads are actually quite good. I did two open track days on them without any issues. yes the front wheels got dirty so I hosed them off. Now I'm using EBC Greenstuff brake pads and my wheels also got dirty after track days.
