Both!
I zip to a car wash if I dont have time. Although I have hand washed once as well. Will continue this route as time continues I am sure... Will focus on some hand washes when its time to wax etc

Between waxes, I usually go through a touchless carwash, unless it gets really dirty with mud/bugs/etc. When I wax it, I usually handwash, clay and wax it again.
And I agree that the paint is delicate. It's not even a year old and it already has a stone chip. (I wonder if I can get that repaired under warranty... isn't the paint warranted for up to a year?)

In warm weather, it's always hand wash. In the winter, 95% of the time it's touchless. I try to avoid the spinning soft-cloth brushes because they can really work over and get caught in many areas of the car not to mention put down the fine scratches in the clearcoat.
