It's a semi-hard paste that spreads fairly easily. It comes with a nice sponge applicator. It does take a bit of elbow grease after it dries. I used four micro-fiber cloths to wipe/buff with. Quite a bit of residue left on the cloth. But the final result: It looks better than the day I picked it up. I can recommend this product.
Meguiars products are usually top-notch.

Next time, I'd also suggest you first use a clay bar. Using a clay bar first, followed by the application of wax (or polish and wax) will really bring out the smoothness of the surface.

I cannot even imagine. I'm afraid if the car got any smoother it would slip into the fourth dimension while driving to work some morning.

The local detailing shop is Meguiars certified for all their personnel. I can get it nicely done inside and out with claybar for a decent price every 5-6 months. I'm lazy, sue me!

you guy'S should try optimum car wax or aquawax, theyre both very easy to use and give your car at least a month and a half in harsh winter weather (includes :snow/rain,calcium,sand,stone)

if you want a more persistant product you should use collinite 845, pretty easy to use, almost bulletproof!
