I think you found one more benefit of Fiesta ownership on your way out, which is that resale value is very good. Dealers want them and they are hard to get new or used.

Save the VIN of your old car and Google it every once in a while and you might be able to see what its up to. It's not as good as Carfax but sometimes you find interesting stuff.

I'll say. I had my Fiesta 6 months and had 8700 miles on it when I traded it for my Focus. Granted I paid a little extra each car payment, but not like I was making double payments. My monthly payments were $310 and I would pay like $400. I had a few extras like the windows tinted, installed a Boomerang armrest and had the OEM all weather floor mats. But still...I got a little more on the trade in than I actually owed on it. Pretty darn good especially with that amount of mileage.

I'm the opposite of most of you folks, I went from "very big" to "small". I have a new Dodge Dakota 4 door 4x4 (the last of the Dakotas, I'll miss them) and a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica. Love both vehicles but the gas bills were ridiculous, so I picked up a leftover 2011 SES last week and I'm selling the Pacifica (love my trucks too much to sell the Dakota). The SES has been great so far, it's a blast to drive and I still haven't had to put gas in it

Good Luck with the new car. The new Taurus is one of the best looking vehicles on the road today.

Sam,

I'm similar to you. I traded in my Grand Marque for the Fiesta. But I still have my beloved GMC minivan.

You have to love those Marque's. I bought a used one from my neighbour about 8 years ago to use as a second vehicle. I drove it for 2 1/2 years, then sold it for $500 less than I paid for it. When I sold it, it was 7 years old, but it still looked perfect and ran as smooth as anything.

Judging by the look of it? Like a boat.

Bye! Years ago I had a Focus SVT and my son has a 2002 Focus so I still drop in at the Focaljet Forum now and again. My Fiesta is my DD but there are 5 other vehicles in the fleet including a minivan so they meet most of our needs and my brother-in-law has access to a pickup truck. That's always been my thinking towards pickups. As long as I have access to one why would I ever own one?
