Default Goodbye

I guess the welcome thread is as good a place as any to put this, but members of Fiesta Faction, I am soon leaving your ranks. My Fiesta served its purpose well (a cheap replacement when my other car was totaled during college), and its time to move on. I feel as though I am betraying you guys when I read about how much you love your Fiesta's, when I cant wait to get rid of mine. The car has never done me any wrong, always reliable, no unscheduled shop visits, just maintenance. Great little car, but I decided its time to trade up in size. I absolutely recommend a Fiesta for anyone who is in the market for a reliable, small car, but for as big of a guy I am, it was simply a mistake. I am trading up to a 2010 Taurus Limited with 300A, Charcoal black interior, and White exterior. Who can blame me for leaving, right? As a plus, the dealer is completely paying off the remainder of my loan, plus a bit extra. Anyone who reads these words should know that my Fiesta never wronged me, I am the one who wronged it when I bought it. I hope it makes someone else as happy as your Fiesta's have made you guys. Will update with a picture when I get the new wheels.
Yours Truely,
Jeronidas

Hope you enjoy your new ride. After a bad experience with a Saturn (luckily I could return it w/o questions) I've always sat in the car for a good while before even trying it out on the road. We are not identical so what is fine for one person is not good for another. Hope your Fiesta finds a good home as well.

Hope you can love your new car. Fiesta doesn't serve everyone's needs and wants.

I feel the same as you, except for that I'm not a large guy. I'd like something bigger as well, unfortunately for me it's not in the budget right now. I hope you enjoy the Taurus, they are nice cars.

Good luck with the bull!

I'll be replacing my truck with something biggish eventually, probably the new escape or an xterra...

But I fit the fiesta too well, and love it still! Just need to squeeze a few more ponies out of her...

Your honesty is a welcome relief. You're not really leaving us, you're becoming an alumnus. Keep in touch and good luck with the new wheels.

Yeah I felt the same way when I traded my Fiesta for a Focus. It's one thing though when you only own one car vs. someone who has a Fiesta as a second car. I mean the Fiesta would've served me as my daily driver, but I just happened to be able to trade for the Focus without taking a loss on my Fiesta. The Focus has a little more power and a little more room. Was a big change going from a big car like my Magnum to a Fiesta (or a Focus). My Fiesta was a great car and I still recommend them. I'm still in the Ford family.

Definitely proves different strokes for different folks.

Prius is our "big car" and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Enjoy!

The Taurus is a hidden gem. I hope it serves you well
And feel free to poke in here once in a while. Oh, and I haven't been online in a while, but the Taurus Car Club of America (TCCA) is probably one of the larger Taurus forums out there if you wanted to visit an online community.

Thar she blows. I was not expecting to get it as quickly as I did. I thought I would need more down. Put 2200 down for this hoss. Will post more when it gets nice out. Notice the rain? Not very decemberish. Thanks for your kind words, and I will pop in now and again. I am gonna be a little bit sad when I drive by the dealer and see my Fiesta sitting out there with a for sale sign on it. I never let anyone drive it, except for the guy from the dealer who picked it up for an oil change, and my friend who moved it once. Thats it since I bought it.

Edit: Gonna miss the stereo I stuck into the Fiesta. Leaving it in gave the dealer the incentive to finish off my loan for me, otherwise it would have been 700 short. The 7 speaker setup in here doesn't have the oomph my 600 watt 9 speaker setup did in the Fiesta. But good god, are there places to put speakers. Let the modding begin...soon...when I financially recover from this.
