Does this site go offline a lot for you guys?

I was going to post 'no' to the original question, and then I went offline twice in the last half hour. That's on my laptop.

Too funny, I went to post that the site has never had this problem for me and I was redirected to the cloudflare thing.

Another problem I have is when I first click the Google link for the forum (I rarely use bookmarks) I sometimes get redirected to some advertising site telling me I need to turn off ad aware to view the page. If I click back and click the link again, everything is fine.

I was going to mention that too as it happens to me if I try to come directly to the forum from a Yahoo search.

This still happens to me in the following browsers:

• Android 4.0 "Ice Cream Sandwich" Web Browser (Samsung Galaxy Nexus)
• Google Chrome v16.0 (Mac OS X 10.7)
• Google Chrome v16.0 (Windows 7)
• Firefox 9 (Windows 7)

This is definitely not a mobile devices problem. It's a problem with CloudFlare. The software checks for cached versions of pages, which is great for a website to speed up traffic. However web forums rarely use cached versions of pages; we're all interested in reading new posts to threads! I think CloudFlare shouldn't be used with the web forums, but perhaps I'm somehow misunderstanding its purpose.

Without getting technical:

It's not browser or mobile specific. It doesn't matter what OS, browser, etc. you use. None.

And, it is not a CloudFlare issue. CloudFlare is not simply a CDN, it has many features.

We know what the problem is, but have not found exactly what the root cause of it is. But we are closer to a resolution.
