Default Greetings

Hi all,
I have been reading a lot here waiting on my Fiesta. I ordered a 2012 SES hatch Violet Grey.
I just received my VIN and build date so thought I would join. Probably another 5 weeks yet until delivery but at least I have a date now.
5 weeks from order to date and two weeks from date to actual date.

I have a couple of questions to all....

Can anyone tell me how many hours dealer labor to put the Ford Racing handling / suspension package on? (I may have to post this in the suspension forum)

Is it worthwhile spending the 25 dollars and buying the locking plug for the gas cap?

thanks in advance

Welcome! Nice to see fresh meat ... er, a new member of the family!

Can't tell you on the suspension, but if you look at my sig you'll see I have two sedans. Neither have the locking plug and I have yet to experience any issues with the easyfill neck or someone trying to infiltrate my fuel system!

Again, welcome to the boards ... you may want to look around some and especially at the Easter Egg thread we've been building. Nice little things there they never tell you in the sales propaganda.

Welcome to Fiesta Faction! I can't tell you how long it would take a dealer, but telero and I installed it on his on about four and a half hours. It isn't terribly complex but some of the bolts are hard to get to and you would need to rent spring compressors. I image a dealer would be a three or four hours install too.

The gas lock really depends on where you live. I've never had or heard of anyone syphening gas from a car that wasn't their own, but I don't live in a high crime area.

The wait is agonizing. Welcome a board. Again the locking plug is only if you're having a gas theft problem.

I was quoted around $200 for labor to install the Ford Racing Performance suspension from a Ford dealership that's a sponsor on here.

I was told that there was a block installed to prevent a tube getting down far enough to siphon gas out.
