Default new fiesta owner...

Sup guys...been selling fords for over a year now and worked on them for about 9 years. I finally traded in my old ranger on a new 12 fiesta today.

I got a white SE hatch 203a with the wheels, cruise, sync, 80 watt system (203a) and winter package. I've gotta say this thing is the most fun car to drive we have on the lots. I love the transmission (auto). I never gave the fiesta much respect until I started considering buying one about a week ago.

We got 5 in that were hail damaged and had between 5 and 20 miles on them that were shipped back to Ford to be fixed and then we bought. Same warranty as new, etc.

I'm on my Android now but ill try and get some pics up tomorrow.

I'm from Pittsburgh by the way, I think we still have 3 left if anyone is in the area but only one has the sport appearance wheels...all hatches and autos...one with sfe and one with the sport appearance package.

Welcome to Fiesta Faction! Most of us have been crazy for the Fiesta much longer than you. (: Any plan for mods?

Thanks. As for mods, I just got done telling my wife I wish I was younger...I've been through the days of modifying everything from wheels to lift kits, intakes, mud tires, tint, etc ... So I've grown to appreciate things in their stock form...if I did anything, I could see myself picking up some factory wheels (ses for the right price or Svt wheels) and possibly tinting the windows. I contemplate a cai ... But that would be stretching it at this point.

My ranger I traded in was lifted 4 inches and had 33x 12.5 mudders and a cai. So I'm gonna say I'm undecided with a special note that nothing I've owned has stayed stock long lol.

I'd have to agree with you, keeping it simple. I am only putting aftermarket wheels, and tinting the windows myself. Possibly change out the muffler and try to convince myself that spending $300 on a CAI is worth it. I'm not convinced yet.

Thumbs up

The tint is nice in the summer and wheels are a noticeable but easy change. (: The CAI isn't tough.

Welcome aboard DEAPEE. You sell Fords and have worked on them for a number of years. That's great. Maybe you can join in on some of the "augments" we have about how dealers and service managers tend to treat clients. We can sometimes be very emotional.

Geez, there seems to be a lot of hail damage going on with these cars. If a car has had hail damage and been repaired is that disclosed to the customer before they buy?

I would think it would be reported to CarFax.

There were a lot hail damaged because, as I believe, there were about 500 sitting in a lot and a huge hail storm came through.

And yes, Ford requires that they be 1) sold as used as they titled them, to prevent any funny business and 2) a disclosure statement has to be signed by the purchaser.

It does not show on the carfax. If some random place fixed it, I guess it would, but these were fixed by Ford themselves. Same as if something is damaged in shipping, for example, its sent back and disclosed...sold as used, etc.

And yeah, service departments can be harsh ... Sometimes I cringe when I have to send customers back there with problems.
