I'm sorry to say, but I have traded in my 2011 Ford Fiesta for a new 2012 Ford Focus. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed driving the Fiesta, but I wanted to move up to a larger car because I wanted more space and more power for my everyday needs. So, I went to the same dealership I got the Fiesta in and got a killer deal on a new Ford Focus. I got an offer I could not refuse. My car was resold for 12K and got another 6K off plus incentives so it just about paid off my car without getting that much into negative equity. So now, I have driven off in a new Blue Candy Ford Focus SE Hatchback that's a tad bit more expensive than the Fiesta but got it financed at a lower interest rate and has the power and space I need for my personal business. I wanted to make sure I get a car I can drive with for a long time and I think this car has everything I need in a car. At the time I got the Fiesta, I wanted to buy a Fiesta hatch to begin with but I was disappointed with the cargo space in the hatch so I went with the sedan. I have to say now, the Ford Focus hatch definitely has better cargo space that I can be satisfied with. I'm still learning all the new features of the Focus and reading the documentation of the car at the moment.
With that said, I would like to continue posting here if it's ok with you guys because I still enjoyed driving the Ford Fiesta for the time I had it and I'd like to give my opinions about this car when topics come up. The way I see it, the Focus is the Fiesta's big brother and both cars can easily relate to each other as they share many of the same designs. I'll post pics of my new Focus when the time comes, but in the mean time, I hope people can understand why I moved up to a larger car. Thank you for letting me be a valued member of the Fiesta Faction forums.

I completely understand the need for a larger car. Thankfully; I have a fiancé with a older Hyundai sonata we can trade for a larger car when the time comes so I won't need to lose my little Party. I'm pretty sure the only thing I'll fade my fiesta in for is the fiesta st.

The new Focus is very nice but it's too grown up for me. The Fiesta is just too much fun and has too much character. One thing I don't like is the Focus SE's wheel covers. They look so cheap and cheesy to me. I'm sure you can order it with alloys (I would) but so far I've only seen them with those wheel covers.

The new Focus hatch is very nice and definitely more cargo than the Fiesta. Do checkout Focaljet, but also visit us. Glad you have a car that you love and suits your needs.

Post some pics of your new car!
I bought my Fiesta because my wife and I were moving and I'd have a 120 mile a day commute versus my current 6 mile a day commute. The sale of our house fell through. I've contemplated getting a larger car with more power. I went from two V8s to the Fiesta. Love the handling but would love more power.

Here are some pics I have taken of the car so far. The resolution isn't high and it is a cloudy day so you really can't see the detail in the Blue Candy that much, but I have to say it is a very nice color.

It doesn't have the wheel covers because it has the sport option which among many other things adds alloy wheels and rear disc brakes. My SE hatch has the sport option also plus winter package, Sync and Sirus. Really don't consider it the "base model" as I have over 2k in options.
For me, I planned on moving up to the Focus from the Fiesta after a few years but just happened to get a good deal on the Focus. For me, since I do a lot of highway driving (about 85-90% of my driving total) and long roadtrips, the Focus just fits me better with the little extra power and it is quite a bit quieter (engine noise) at interstate speeds 65 mph and above. Don't get me wrong though, I took a roadtrip to Cape Cod last summer in the Fiesta and it was great. Was impressed with it's power. Had no trouble keeping up with traffic and then some. I'm a member of Focusfanatics (same screen name).
